Aimee Rene Photography began in October 2014 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. After my first year at a community college for graphic arts I decided college wasn't for me, so I ended my college life and packed my bags and then off I was to New Mexico I went with my grandma & grandpa. I learned so much moving across the country 2000 miles away by myself. The whole purpose of moving was to get away from the friends group I was hanging out with; unhealthy doesn't begin to describe the situation. Once I moved in with my grandparents, my Uncle took me to the mall to get job applications and we had a really inspiring conversation about getting my life back on track and setting goals and working until I reach them. He really inspired me and pushed me to try hard and to get a job and start working! One of the job applications I got was a waitressing job in Rio Rancho, I was low-key so excited about getting this job because I always heard that waitresses make a lot of money (not realizing all the work they actually do) plus everyone in there was so sweet when I went in for my interview. I got the call and got the job! The first person I started talking to and following around was a girl named Nicole. She instantly became my best friend. Her energy was so radiant and always had the biggest smile on her face. This girl had so many similarities to me and I felt like I knew her for so long when it was realistically only a week.

We started hanging out one HOT sunny afternoon and she brought me to her moms frozen yogurt shop to do some errands and realized that we both loved the same band, All Time Low. I couldn't believe this.. this girl was so freaking awesome already and now I find she even loves the same music!? It was way too hot to do anything so we got ben & Jerry's and sat in her car listening to music, and bonded over the fact that we both had similar relationship issues with men. Our stories went on for hours but we totally motivated each other that we didn't need that in our life, at least temporarily of course! :P Nicole was really into photography and had an amazing camera, and the Instagram photos she posted were always so beyond breathtaking.. .her talent was indescribable! She convinced me to do a photoshoot but I felt so awkward in front of the camera. And so I had her show me some poses, and asked if I could take the camera and shoot a few of her. I was in love with how these photos came out and OBSESSED with capturing beauty within a snapshot. I couldn't believe how much fun it was to take photos and then once they were edited I felt even more accomplished! Nicole has been to MA to visit since then and we had such a fun time exploring and having days of unlimited and memorable experiences! Not to mention the amazing photoshoots we did while she was here! Nicole has so much talent, take two seconds to follow and show her some love! She's currently working on building her portfolio and booking clients again! Checkout more of her work on her website!

At my next job working for the Body Shop in Albuquerque I met another life changing friend named Karlie. We became instant friends with our time spent at work together. We would spend hours and hours cleaning, talking and looking up photoshoot ideas since Karlie did modeling. Karlie was constantly my biggest cheerleader and always boosting me up like a big sister. I’m so grateful for all our memories together, all the wonderful pictures taken and the confidence she instilled in me.

One day we were talking about the photoshoot Nicole and I did and we decided we should try to take some pictures and do our own photoshoot. Karlie, along with her daughter London & I would hangout practically daily. We started with a soft boudoir session, halloween session, random modeling outside, city sessions, Christmas boudoir and that was just the start. We had so much fun and she was seriously my soul sister, I miss her to pieces! She's another incredibly talented photographer in New Mexico I highly recommend working with! Karlie is so creative and the outcome is so breathtaking. Karlie masters the light and airy aesthetic give her. a follow on Instagram! She is an incredible wedding photographer too checkout Karlie's website here!

While getting into photography and trying to collaborate photoshoots I got to know so many incredible creators in New Mexico. I was even able to attend this beautiful photo event in the Bosque (which is basically the only place in New Mexico you can find foliage) with probably 40 photographers and tons & tons of models. It was so much fun walking around and collaborating with different models and having different backgrounds to shoot with; I had the chance to connect with so many inspiring photographers and got to create a ton of fun content.

Soon after this photo event I moved back to my hometown of Easton, Massachusetts to be with a previous ex boyfriend, my mom & his sister, my true twin flame, soul-mate, bff and bestie, Casey! Casey and I instantly hit it off when we first met and started talking. She came to her brothers bedroom one day and we talked about beauty, makeup, skincare, and how I was a manager at The Body Shop in New Mexico and they were hiring at the local one here in Mass so she should apply! Of course Casey got the job she was over qualified for and that was just the start of our friendship. Casey and I became best of friends and started doing photoshoots together the more we hung out. I got Casey into modeling and one of our favorite annual sessions we love to capture are creative/fun 4th of July sessions. Whenever we get together our minds create truly magical photoshoot ideas. We always come up with fun, creative sessions and have the most fun glamming each other up and taking pictures. Casey and I love our sessions so much that we actually created a business, named Perfectly Peachy Parlor, so we can incorporate our skincare consulting, makeup applications, coaching, confidence building work and photography all in one place! Aside from Perfectly Peachy I do have my own personal wedding photography business called Aimee Rene Photography.

How I got started in Weddings... I've always been such a sucker for romantic movies & weddings. My Aunt, as well as my Uncle from my mother's side both got married before I was a teen and that's definitely when I started loving the wedding aesthetic. I don't remember too much for the planning part of my Aunt's wedding but I do remember the reception itself and how beautifully it was decorated. I remeber just a little more of my Uncle's wedding and more of the rehersal dinner, engagement party, and wedding itself, which was engulfed in a magnificent coral aesthetic; one of the most eye catching beautiful colors ever! I was such an emotional wreck for both weddings, they make me cry so hard, they're just so cute; I still get a little teary eyed when capturing my clients wedding even with all the weddings I shoot! My moms best friend got Married in September 2016 and asked me to do makeup for the wedding, then take bridal boudoir pictures, getting ready pictures then all the wedding photography. I was so honored and beyond excited because this was my first wedding and I was loving the look of everything. After capturing these pictures I decided I definitely needed to get into weddings more; it was such a fun experience. I especially enjoyed being able to help a stressed out bride and be her go to person, seeing as I'm with her the enitre day, is such a fulfilling position. I also feel like this is the best industry for me because I absolutely love paying attention to fine details because something so little can make the biggest difference when it comes to ruining a photo like really messy hair or if it's not flowing in the right direction. Even adding certain props to a photo to make it go from good to great!

I adore everything about weddings and I can't wait to hear about your vision & details, but most of all your love story. Check out my upcoming blog post next Thursday to read even more about "My Why"!
